 "HALLOWEEN"

Halloween means "All Hallow's Eve", the word comes from Old English, and means "eve of all saints," as it refers to the night of October 31, the eve of the Feast of All Saints. However, the old Anglo-Saxon custom has stolen his strict religious sense to hold in place the night of terror, of witches and ghosts. Halloween marks a sad return to the old paganism, a trend that has spread also among Hispanic peoples.

Origins

The celebration of Halloween began with the Celts, ancient inhabitants of Eastern Europe, Western and parts of Asia Minor. Among them lived the Druids, pagan priests worshiping trees, especially oak. They believed in the immortality of the soul, which they said was introduced to another individual to leave the body, but on October 31, returned to his old home to seek food for their inhabitants, who were obliged to make provision for it.Pumpkin, candy, costumes .

The pumpkin was added later and has its origin in the Scandinavian countries and then returned to Europe and the rest of Latin cultural colonization through its media and television films and imported films.

In recent years, begins to rage between the Mediterranean and Latin American teenagers who forget their own rich traditions to adopt the hollow pumpkin lit. At Hallowe'en (All Hallow's eve of), literally the eve of All Saints, the Saxon legend says it is easy to see witches and ghosts. Children dress up and go, with a candlein a pumpkin hollowed introduced in which incisions are made to form a skull, from house to house. When the door opens shout "trick or treat" (joke or gift) to indicate that a joke on those who do not give them a sort of tip or bonus in sweets or money.

I do not celebrate Halloween, I do not see it as a support for the devil who is not but I see well, I am a Christian and that does not look good to support a party that almost worship is evensomething that is not with God.
